School Council
“Making dreams come true (at a reasonable price)”
School Council are a group of children who act as representatives speaking on behalf of their class. Ysgol Hendrefelin value the children’s thoughts and beliefs. The well-being of our children is at the heart of what we do.
At our half-term meetings we talk about what works well and give ideas on what we would like to improve in our school.
School Council provides opportunity to take on leadership roles, promote the voice of the student body, problem solve and impact their community.
School council aims:
-To meet regularly to discuss our views and be heard.
-To organise whole school and class events.
-To organise charity days.
-To make sure our school is a happy and safe place for all of our children.
-To make sure children have a place to voice their concerns, opinions, and thoughts.
-To encourage all children in school to suggest ideas and make positive changes within our school.
-To achieve the Silver award for Rights Respecting Schools.
