Attendance

Coming to school every day matters. Being here is where learning happens, where friendships grow and where each learner builds the routines that help them thrive. Good attendance opens doors. It helps learners make progress, feel settled and get the most from everything we offer.
We know the way there is not always smooth. Some of our learners have medical needs, appointments or worries that can make attendance harder. We understand that, and we are here to help. Getting your child to school, and keeping them here, is something we do together.
Why it matters
Attendance and progress go hand in hand. The more consistently a learner attends, the more they build on what they know, keep pace with their class and stay connected to the people around them. Regular attendance also strengthens confidence, wellbeing and the daily routines that many of our learners rely on. Small gaps add up, so every day a learner here makes a difference.

Reporting an absence
If your child cannot attend, please contact the school office as early as you can on the first day, and let us know why. Please keep us updated if the absence continues. Telling us early means we can offer the right support quickly, and it helps us keep every learner safe.
Working together
If attendance starts to slip, we will get in touch. We would rather talk early and find out how we can help. That might mean a conversation, a plan built around your child, or support from our team to remove whatever is getting in the way. We will always work with you, not against you, to help your child move forward.
