Welcome to Velindre

Velindre is a KS4 unit in Port Talbot which caters for 28 Year 10 and 11 pupils. Our centre provides young people with a broad, bespoke academic and vocational curriculum which celebrates all individuals’ strengths, talents and successes. We operate in small classes with teachers and support staff who provide pupils with a safe and caring learning environment. We aim to encourage pupils to become independent learners who show respect to others and are able to build and maintain positive relationships. We pride ourselves in having strong links between Home, School, Further Education and other agencies which enables us to promote the Well-being of all our pupils. 

Our focus is on guiding our pupils through exams and vocational assessments which will prepare them for life after school, whether that be College, Training courses, Apprenticeships or the world of work.
