Article 19 – Protection from violence, abuse and neglect

Children have the right to be kept safe from all forms of physical or emotional harm.
This week, our school has been proudly celebrating Anti-Bullying Week across every class. Pupils have taken part in a range of thoughtful and creative activities designed to help everyone understand the importance of kindness, respect, and speaking up.
Each class has spent time learning about what bullying is, how it makes people feel, and what we can all do to make our school a safe and welcoming place for everyone. Children enjoyed discussions, role-play activities, and team challenges that encouraged them to work together and celebrate positive friendships.
One of the highlights of the week was creating our own Class Anti-Bullying Charters. Pupils worked together to agree on rules and promises that show how they will help prevent bullying and support one another. These charters will be displayed in classrooms as a reminder of the commitment we have all made.
We are proud of the enthusiasm and maturity our pupils have shown throughout Anti-Bullying Week. Their ideas, kindness, and teamwork help make our school a place where everyone feels valued and safe.
