School Council Meeting: July 23

The focus of the meeting:

- Update on memorial garden

- Attendance at Ysgol Hendrefelin

- Upcoming well-being days

We had a very exciting meeting today in School Council with a very special visitor.

Our meeting started with a visit from Jeremy Miles, the Minister for Education.  He came in to see the hard work we had completed in the Memory Garden. We had a question and answer session and had the opportunity to ask lots of questions. After a cup of tea and some Welsh cakes we had the pleasure of showing Jeremy Miles around our school.

Following that, we had a short break and then looked at attendance in our school and how we could make it better. Our attendance officer needed our help to share our input on improving attendance in the school. We are also running a poster competition in school. We are very excited to get started because there are 5 x £10 vouchers up for grabs!

Finally, we had an update about the well-being days. We are looking forward to getting involved in the upcoming fun activities planned for the last week of school.
