Work Skills Day - In Partnership with Careers Wales

We are pleased to inform parents and carers that our KS4 pupils recently took part in a Work Skills Day, delivered in partnership with Careers Wales. The day was designed to help pupils develop key employability skills and gain valuable insight into the world of work.

Throughout the day, pupils engaged in a range of interactive and practical activities, including:

  • Employability Skills Sessions with Neuro Kind Careers
Pupils explored essential workplace skills such as communication, confidence, self-awareness, understanding individual strengths and interview technique.

  • Mock Employer Interviews
Pupils took part in realistic interview experiences with real-life employers, giving them the opportunity to practise interview techniques, receive constructive feedback and build confidence.

  • Work-Based Literacy and Numeracy
These sessions focused on applying literacy and numeracy skills in real workplace contexts, helping pupils understand how these skills are used beyond the classroom.

  • Problem-Solving Team Building Activity
Pupils worked collaboratively to solve challenges, developing teamwork, resilience and problem-solving skills that are highly valued by employers.

The Work Skills Day was a valuable opportunity for pupils to prepare for future pathways, including further education, training and employment. We would like to thank Careers Wales, Neuro Kind Careers, and our visiting employers for their support in making the day both engaging and impactful.
