The programme covered javelin, discus, long jump, 100m sprints and the relay. Learners chose the events they wanted to take part in, cheered on the ones they did not, and gave everything a proper go. The tug of war brought the loudest noise of the day.

Mr Duford arrived with ice lollies at exactly the right moment. A welcome treat for everyone.

Staff took to the track for their own relay. Aspire won, and they are unlikely to let anyone forget it.

The behaviour on the day deserves its own mention. Learners were patient waiting for their turn, supportive of each other and a credit to the school in a setting away from their usual base. 

Certificates will be presented before the end of the week.
