Y Senedd - The School Council
“Making dreams come true (at a reasonable price)”
Y Senedd, our School Council are a group of children who act as representatives speaking on behalf of their class. Ysgol Hendrefelin values the children’s thoughts and beliefs. The well-being of our children is at the heart of what we do.
At our half-term meetings we talk about what works well and give ideas on what we would like to improve in our school.
Y Senedd provides opportunities to take on leadership roles, promote the voice of the student body, problem solving and impacting their community.
School council aims:
-To meet regularly to discuss our views and be heard.
-To organise whole school and class events.
-To organise charity days.
-To make sure our school is a happy and safe place for all of our children.
-To make sure children have a place to voice their concerns, opinions, and thoughts.
-To encourage all children in school to suggest ideas and make positive changes within our school.
-To achieve the Silver award for Rights Respecting Schools.
