Staff respect each other. Learners respect each other. Staff and learners respect one another. We work as one school, so each person feels valued and no one stands alone. We teach learners the knowledge and understanding they need to play a full part in their community and in adult life.

We build self-esteem and confidence in a supportive setting. Everyone feels safe, supported and cared for. We work together for an atmosphere of trust, where views can be shared and feelings matter.

We keep everyone safe
Every learner and every member of staff feels safe here, across both sites and in our residential provision. We know that a learner who feels safe is ready to learn. Safeguarding sits at the heart of everything we do.

We include everyone and celebrate difference
We shape our provisions around each learner, so everyone can take part and belong. We remove barriers to learning, one learner at a time. We respect and celebrate diversity, provide equal opportunities and recognise that different people have different needs.

We listen to learners and respect their rights
Our Senedd and its subcommittees give learners a real say in how the school runs. As a Rights Respecting school, we teach learners about their rights and help them use their voice. Learners help shape decisions that affect them.

We value our Welsh language, culture and sense of place
We grow the Welsh language across the school through our Siarter Iaith work and our Criw Cymraeg. We help every learner feel a sense of cynefin, a belonging to this place and its heritage. Welsh words and traditions are part of daily life here.

We expect the best and never stop learning
High expectations lead to personal achievement. We model a 'can do' attitude and recognise what every member of the school community brings. As a learning school, we uphold the right to lifelong learning and keep it meaningful, challenging and fun.

We prepare learners for the future
We raise aspirations and celebrate what each learner can achieve. We build independence step by step, so learners grow in confidence for adult life, their next setting or a college course. We plan for each learner's future from the start.
