Our Vision and Aims

Learning today for a better tomorrow. At Ysgol Hendrefelin, we help every learner feel safe, grow in confidence and prepare for the life ahead of them.

We recognise and respond to the needs of every learner. We do this through supportive and challenging learning, in a safe and respectful environment.

We aim to achieve this by:

• Building a caring and inclusive place where we recognise, respect and celebrate diversity.
• Helping learners take responsibility for their own learning, celebrating success and building independence for adult life.
• Holding high expectations for learning, attendance and behaviour.
• Offering a broad and balanced Curriculum for Wales, shaped around each learner.
• Growing the Welsh language and a sense of cynefin, so every learner belongs.
• Listening to learner voice, so learners help shape their school.
• Working in partnership with parents, carers, staff, other professionals and the local community.
• Running a positive, well resourced school, staffed by trained and committed people who manage funding and resources well.
