Our Key Stage 3 SEBD unit (for 11-14 year olds) is in Theodore road, Port Talbot. It caters for pupils with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.   The unit is made up of three classrooms, a large dining hall and a multi skills room where we have our cookery lessons and practical activities, from science experiments to project work. 

We also have a small ‘Cwtch‘ room, which is used for sensory and therapeutic interventions, such as music therapy and ELSA but also serves as a general chill out area and somewhere the pupils can go to regulate. We are lucky enough to be able to use the large local park for exercise or when anyone needs a break from work and space to unwind. 

Wellbeing is a key focus along with an active and meaningful curriculum to engage our young learners.  Pupils from here often progress to our Key Stage 4 provision based in Velindre.
