Healthy Lunchbox

School meals are a great choice, but some learners prefer to have a packed lunch prepared at home.

Packed Lunches
Learners are welcome to bring a packed lunch. We ask families to choose healthy options wherever possible.
Storing packed lunches
Keeping packed lunches cool – Cool food stays safe. Warm food carries a risk of food poisoning. Use an insulated lunch box with an ice pack or a frozen carton of juice inside. If you make sandwiches the night before, store them in the fridge overnight.
Storage at school – Each provision stores lunch boxes differently. Staff will tell you where your child's lunch box goes and keep it cool until lunchtime. If you are unsure, ask your child's class team.
Allergens – Talk to your child's class team in the meantime if your child has a food allergy.
